Tauster's Journal Entry #1624

The party finally made it back to familiar territory near the Gnomes and were heading towards one of the hidey-holes the gnomes provided the party with, when they had a very unusual encounter.

They met up with a very unusual Elf. Six feet tall, with unusual hair and coloring he introduced himself to the party as a messenger from the Rockseers. It was quite evident that the three who had disappeared earlier recognized either this Elf, or his type. When asked his business he asked the party if they could return to them the Sapphire Dragon the party found.

While the three immediately agreed, a few in the party were less than forthcoming, wanting to know who these people were, and why they should give up such an exquisite price on their say-so. The three assured them that everything was on the up and up and then explained that when they disappeared they were actually guests of the Rockseers. While there, they were shown an image of the dragon and asked ot return it if they ran across it, as it was a very valuable cultural relic. The three agreed, and also agreed to be Geas'd against saying anything about the Rockseers. The messenger informed the party that the Geas was broken the moment the party laid eyes upon the Sapphire Dragon, and that it would be their own free will if they did decided to return it. Tho there was much debate (and, I fear, some future strife between members) the dragon was given of the party's free will. The messenger rewarded the group with a bag of gems, a highly magical garment, and the offer to tutor their wizards in the use of something the messenger called "flux points", which will enable the party to transport themselves over long distances.

The party then contacted the Gnomes and arranged with them to help out with any future slaves, with the Gnomes agreeing to escort any prisoners to a hidey-hole until the party is ready to return to the surface. The party talked about hiring helpers to give protection/escort duty. They then left for the teleport spot to my tower.

Next, they plan on assaulting the City of the Glass Pool. Should be interesting times coming up. Hang on dear Jelenneth...
